“Visiting Hour” - short comedies and dramas by Richard Harris

Six short plays based around the theme of a Hospital visiting hour provide fertile ground for these comedies and dramas.

"Plaster" - a comedy. Helen talks to her husband, who is immobile in plaster, about his car accident. Whilst she appears to believe that the circumstances are entirely innocent, the audience soon realise they are not....

"Keeping Mum" - a drama. Pauline talks about her mother's illness and time in hospital, but all is not quite as it seems, and Pauline is harbouring conflicting emotions and a strange compulsion.....

"Show Business" - a comedy. The chance of covering the first quadruple transplant operation brings chaos in the form of a TV crew......

"Going Home" - a drama. A conversation between patients reveals cracks in relationships and a reluctance to return home.....

"Waiting" - a drama. An old man reminisces about his past.....

"Magic" - a comedy. Visitors are supposed to help cheer up those they visit, but some are just a pain!
